TjSTAR event shines brighter by Akshay Seth and Lio Kang News Editors
On June 2, the entire student body participated in tjSTAR, the second year the school-wide symposium celebrated cutting edge innovations in diverse fields of scientific development. During the day, students were allowed to take part in various hands-on engineering challenges, technology demonstrations and research presentations.
Although many of the activities were similar if not the same as those seen in last year’s tjSTAR, many students felt that marked improvements were visible in the scheduling and balance of choices.

Changing of the Guard by Rabia Idrees News Editor
From the Cluster III office to the learning cottages on campus, many veteran faculty and staff will be departing for retirement this June.
Assistant Superintendant Cecy Krill and Director Barbara Lanzer will depart the Cluster III office later this month.
“Cecy Krill has been instrumental in supporting TJ in getting through financial challenges and plans,” Principal Evan Glazer said. “[Krill and Lanzer] are the people that help our school fit in well with the school district.”
