Still new to town, President Barack Obama has only lived in the D.C. Metropolitan area for nine months now. ‘Lost Symbol’ brings serial character to the United States

Rumberger returns to Jefferson

When Dale Rumberger walks into a room, the first thing you notice is his piercing blue eyes. After cracking a few jokes and affecting his “Doctor Evil” alter ego, it’s clear he likes his act and has a rare talent for making everyone in a room know that he is both in charge and entirely comfortable with it.

Teachers pass the Colonial torch

Math teacher Michael Auerbach returned to his alma mater 11 years after graduation because he felt he wasn’t making a difference by working as a defense contractor.
Auerbach, Class of 1995, is not the only Jefferson graduate to return as a teacher. Math teachers Jen Pierce, Marianne Razzino and Amy Luxenberg as well as chemistry teacher Ashley Jones all share the experience of being both a teacher and a former student at Jefferson.

Would you like to give it a home?” A series of similar announcements have been appearing in students’ newsfeeds as they check their Facebook profiles. Further down the page somebody has found an ugly duckling that also needs a home. Where are all these animals coming from on Facebook? Anders cycles through gap year to help Doctors Without Borders

Class of 2009 graduate Brett Anders was cycling on a historical highway on an Apache reservation when he heard 3 dogs barking. At first he wasn’t worried. But then from his peripheral vision, he saw the dogs jump over the barbed wire fence.
