GPA elimination best for students

If you thought our problems ended with the passage of the FAIRGRADE initiative last year, by now you understand that’s far from reality. The issue of course weighting and how to calculate grade point average has grown legs of its own at Jefferson.

Most teenagers across America would agree with me when I say that Twitter is one of the lamest social networking sites in use. Geared to draw attention mongers from every corner of the map, the site gives overly expressive people a place to openly publicize some of the most random and pointless things that come to their minds.

New plan can fix problems

Health insurance is a basic human right. Anyone, regardless of social standing, should be nursed back into good health without having to fret about immediate payment of expensive medical bills. However, our health care system functions in a flawed way where more than 15 percent of Americans lack health care because our current system is the most expensive in the world. Reform not quite there yet

President Obama’s health care is certainly a step in the right direction, but it oversteps some bounds while not getting close enough to other necessary ones. His rhetoric conveys a sense of idealism to the American public, where anyone can get any health care necessary for practically any price. I think that his envisioned plan is flawed at this basic level.
